Choose Sougia (~05:00, 08:45, 13:45, 16:00) or Paleochora (Mon-Sat ~08:45, 10:45, 12:45, 16:00) at Kydonias station.

To continue along the south coast (Agia Roumeli, Loutro), take the ANENDYK ferry from Sougia or Paleochora.

⚠️ The traps to know

The Paleochora service is reduced on Sundays (fewer departures). Check your travel day.
Sougia is also a west exit from Samaria: the ferry from Agia Roumeli arrives there, then the 18:15 bus returns to Chania.
South-coast ferries: season ~April-October, weather cancellations possible. Don't rely on them off-season.

Plan B

By car, Sougia and Paleochora are ~1h15-1h30 from Chania on mountain roads. A taxi is expensive over these distances. The bus stays the cheapest and most restful option given the terrain.
